Well, patient readers, my two-week family visit is ending, and I fly home on Tuesday. Therefore, Tuesday’s post will be late.

The potential for danger might be more acceptable if we didn’t already know that Honest Ernest is a blowhard and Connor is a coward. As for the third guy, he doesn’t look especially threatening. Of course, to a twelve-year-old, three guys waving blunt instruments has to be scary. Andy’s a big help.
Art Dept. Yeah, I also noticed a change in the color scheme. Perhaps they used a different colorist at the syndicate. We’ll see if this is an anomaly or a change of direction.
George, Still cannot do more than just scan the strip. Wish I had something positive to say about the story line or the artwork. As always, appreciate your on going dedication to blogging on this very lame Mark Trail and to what it has descended to. All the former cartoonists would be rolling in their graves I’m sure. What really amazes me, is that it is now still carried. I am old school, and still get a newspaper. I would love if another cartoonist took over and carried the mantle of re-creating a classic strip with artwork that is worthy of this decades old strip. In it’s current form, as I’ve said before , it is virtually unreadable to me. However, all that being said, love your commentary!

Thanks, Mark. At least you get something out of the strip, even if it is my daily scribblings! Glad you’re sticking around. As you don’t like the strip and don’t want to comment on it, feel free to offer critiques of my posts.
