Cherry does not seem to be inclined to sit down at a gaming table any time soon, but instead prefers to luxuriate in an amply filled warm bath. Is this actually an extravagant use of water, as I pondered yesterday? We were informed by commenter, Hannibal’s Lectern, about the city’s real state-of-the-art wastewater reclamation efforts that make my concerns unneeded. The information appears solid. Though without having that awareness up front, it’s easy to come to the wrong conclusion. And this seems like a good fit, as Hannibal Lectern intimated, for a good Sunday topic. Lectern’s got the text already written for her, as well!
There may be some among us who would prefer spending more time with Cherry and her luxurious bath, just to ensure that none of that precious water slips over the rim of the tub and misses out on that state-of-the-art reclamation. However, Jules Rivera prefers to divert our attention to the continuing exploits of Rusty Trail. Like father like son, Rusty convinced himself that finding adventure is worth breaking rules. And what kind of adventure will he have? There’s only three more days in the week, so let’s hope Rusty makes the most of it.
One final thought: I’m glad to see that Rusty knows how to talk to himself quietly, using thought bubbles; whereas Mark always talks out loud, even when nobody is around.
