When just one set of caving gear isn’t enough …!

At some point between Friday and today, Cricket, Crypto, and Diana apparently found time and reason to completely change their outfits. Just why they would want to do that has yet to be revealed.

Now, if your first (or second) reaction is that this story is shaping up to be worthy of a junior high writing contest, we’re on the same page. And it’s a certainty that Cricket Bro didn’t take the time to read Mark Trail’s Sunday nature strip, or he wouldn’t be going into the cave on his own. Well, I take that back.

It will be mildly amusing to see what Crypto Bro and Diana are going to do, or why they even bothered to show up. Without video, Cricket Bro will have nothing to show anybody, unless he has a GoPro attached to his helmet or jacket … Nope. Don’t see one. Perhaps Cricket Bro is just making sport of his brother and they will all head into the cave, after all.

    Or perhaps Cricket Bro is trying to say that the only love he can get is from internet chatbots?

    Or perhaps Jules’s native language is Latin, where word order is of little importance?

    • I think it must be your IP address, which changes, as I’ve seen. That is normally not under your control through a normal ISP because you would have a dynamically-assigned IP address. So, I reckon we’ll just go with this.

      Do me a favor and reply with “OK”. I want to see if there is a time-frame involved.

        • Ah, well. That didn’t work out the way I had hoped. So far, WordPress Tech Support has no idea why is happening, other than to say something has to be different each time. I can’t see it. Well, thanks for helping me try to diagnose this issue.

  2. A sliver of credit to Jules for naming the cave the Spanish word for “dangerous”. It probably has that very convenient bioluminescent moss Mark found in the last cave.

    • “Dangerous“? Yes, indeed, Daniel! But, given Rivera’s ancestry, I’m not too surprised. Has she injected Spanish into the strip at any other time? I don’t recall.

      As for the bioluminesence, it’s a good point and I wonder if Rivera will bring that into the storyline. Or will she just ignore the issue and pretend the cave is naturally lit by carefully placed spotlights?
