Mara is right! They can pretend to be reading while Backpack Guy wanders past them; though they they seem to be the only 3 people in the area. How could he spot those two clever kids?

There’s no way a human could walk with a backpack at that retrograde angle shown in panel 1, unless the pack were filled with helium balloons. Hmmm… now there’s a plot line that might be uplifting!
